Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
I rang in the New Year in Salt Lake City, Utah and loved every minute of it. Disclaimer: though we had our fare share of drinks and fun, this trip was all about good food and getting some well-needed R&R. The views we’re breathtaking, the spa was amazing and I even learned to ski for the first time ever! Plus we loved our hotel!!!
Here’s my guide to Salt Lake City:
WHERE I STAYED
We really enjoyed our stay at Grand America, it definitely does it’s 5-stars justice. The room itself was amazing, the spa was top notch and their hotel buffet brunch was actually delicious (not normally the case at most hotels… but this was extremely fresh and worth the hype)
WHERE I WENT
I’ve never gone skiing before, so I was super nervous, but ended up loving it! Definitely all about that hot chocolate and warm comfort food by the lodge fire though…
Downtown Salt Lake City
We went for a walk around the city, and saw the Mormon church as well as the museum. The downtown area is bigger than expected and there’s a great shopping area called City Creek Center.
Park City is awesome and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
WHAT WE DID
The Grand Spa
This spa was amazing! Is there anything better than getting a couples massage while being served dessert and sparkling cider? The answer is no, there is nothing better.
Brunch at The Grand America Hotel
Like I said, this was actually one of the few hotel brunches I’ve been to where the food was top quality. The options we’re endless: from sushi to raw bar to fresh meats to homemade waffles to desserts. Bottom line, wear your stretchiest pants.
Current Fish & Oyster Bar
Great spot for a date night filled with fresh fish options.
The Copper Onion
Really popular restaurant for New American food, lively brunches and and cocktails in a cozy space.
