Hi!

Welcome to my official website. I’m hitting all the notes on this platform: dining, recipes, travel and lifestyle. Enjoy!

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

I rang in the New Year in Salt Lake City, Utah and loved every minute of it. Disclaimer: though we had our fair share of drinks and fun, this trip was all about good food and getting some well-needed R&R. Truth be told, I never thought I would be vacationing in Salt Lake City. I had never been skiing (much more of a warm weather gal) and I never understood the concept of a cold weather vacation. But we were in Vegas for a work trip, so I decided, why not head over to Utah for some skiing and scenery? I’m so glad we did. This trip proved to be one of our most relaxing getaways yet. We didn’t move much from our hotel….

Here’s my guide to Salt Lake City:

WHERE I STAYED

The Grand America Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at The Grand America Hotel — it definitely does it’s 5-stars justice. The room itself was amazing, the spa was top notch and their hotel buffet brunch was actually delicious (not normally the case at most hotels… but this was extremely fresh and worth the hype.)

WHERE I WENT

Snowbasin Resort

I’ve never gone skiing before, so I was super nervous to jump right in with no experience. Luckily, we ended up getting a ski lesson at Snowbasin Resort, and then we hit the slopes. I highly recommend doing a private lesson if you are learning to ski for the first time, or if you just need a refresher.

Downtown Salt Lake City

Although it was 15 degrees, we decided to walk around in our snowsuits to get a feel for the city. It’s definitely spread out, so you can also take a car. Sites to see? The Mormon church, Temple Square, and the Church History Museum. The downtown area is bigger than expected and there’s a great shopping area called City Creek Center.

Park City

Park City is a popular ski town nearby, and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

The Grand Spa

Like I said, we didn’t move much…Is there anything better than getting a couples massage while being served dessert and sparkling cider? The answer is no, there is nothing better.

Where I Ate

Brunch at The Grand America Hotel

Like I said, this was actually one of the few hotel brunches I’ve been to where the food was top quality. The options we’re endless: from sushi to raw bar to fresh meats to homemade waffles to desserts. Bottom line, wear your stretchiest pants.

The Copper Onion

Really popular restaurant for New American food, lively brunches and and cocktails in a cozy space.
