RECAP: Arnold Sandwich Thins Event

So, for those of you who don't know, I've recently partnered with Arnold Bread for their relaunch of their Sandwich Thin rolls. I grew up eating Arnold Bread Sandwich Thins rolls and specifically remember my mom always making my lunches with them. And of course….as I got older, I started using them all the time when making my own. So needless to say, I was excited to hear that the thin is back and better than ever — made with olive oil and sea salt. This time around, there are four stars of the Sandwich Thins roll show: Whole Wheat, Multigrain, Flax & Fiber, and Honey Wheat. And of course, they taste nutritious and delicious. 

I like to use Sandwich Thins because for me, the perfect sandwich is all about balance. There are so many rolls and bread slices out there that are just too much. Do you know what I mean?! For lack of a better word, some bread is just too “bread-y” — too filling, too big, too overpowering. A sandwich is a work of art, not just the roll it sits on. So this is why I love Arnold Bread Sandwich Thins. They have just as much taste, without taking up too much space. They are also light and guilt-free, which makes my shameless late night snacking completely un-shameful. 

You get it. I love the Sandwich Thins. So I threw them a party — a picnic party!

We made our three signature Sandwich Thins roll recipes (which you can find at the end of this post), but also had a ton of other fun picnic themed bites to nosh on. And I even did a sandwich demo where I made my incredible BBQ pulled pork, pimento cheese, and pickle sandwich on a Whole Wheat Arnold Sandwich Thins roll.

And I got to catch up with a ton of other foodie blogger friends. What better way to bond than over our beloved carbohydrates, am I right?

I absolutely loved being a part of this event and overall partnership with Arnold Bread because I truly love their products and overall brand. (I was going to say the child version of myself was screaming when I landed this partnership, but Arnold Bread has been a part of more of my life than just school lunches, so this was really a life fulfillment.) Oh-my-Omega-3s

  • 1 multigrain Arnold Sandwich Thin Roll

  • 3 oz of salmon (grilled or smoked)

  • Half an avocado

  • ¼ red onion, sliced

  • 1 egg, fried

  1. Toast the Multigrain thin

  2. On the bottom slice of bread, put on your avocado, red onion, salmon and fried egg. Top with second slice.

BBQ Veggie

  • 1 whole wheat Arnold Sandwich Thin Roll

  • 2 portobello mushroom tops

  • 1 shallot, sliced

  • 3 slices of fresh mozzarella

  • 2 tbsp bbq sauce

  • Fresh cilantro to taste

  1. In a hot pan roast your portobello mushroom tops and shallots to soften them

  2. Spread bbq sauce on both slices of bread.

  3. On the bottom slice, put your mushrooms, shallots, fresh mozzarella and cilantro. Top with second slice.

Pulled Pork Pimento Cheese

  • 1 honey wheat Arnold Sandwich Thin Roll

  • ½ cup store bought pulled pork

  • ¼ cup store bought pimento cheese  

  • 5 quarter shaped pickles

  • ¼ cup chopped scallion  

  1. Spread your pimento cheese on both slices of bread.

  2. On the bottom slice, put your pulled pork, pickles and scallions. Top with second slice.
