Whole Wheat Fried Oreos Skinny Swap
I grew up going to carnivals and the boardwalk as a kid in the summertime. There is literally nothing better than a deep fried Oreo covered in powdered sugar! But, I recently started using The Ninja Foodi which has a really rare crisping technology, so I wanted to use this technology to get my favorite indulgent treats in a #skinnyswap sort of way.
Serving size: 10
10 organic, non-GMO creme sandwich cookies (can also use a sugar-free brand if you want)
2 cups of whole-wheat pancake mix
1/2 cup water or milk (depending on your mix)
1 tbsp confectioners sugar
In a bowl, combine your whole-wheat pancake mix and your eggs. Stir together and see as the dough is very thick. Add a little bit (not all of) your water or milk. You want the dough to be pretty stiff so you can wrap a thin layer around your cookies. Key: you may not need all of the 1/2 cup water or milk, so eyeball it as you go.
Keeping your hands wet with water, coat the Oreos in the dough mixture.
Preheat your Ninja Foodi at 400 degrees. Place the cookie balls onto the crisping tray and crisp for 3-4 minutes. Option to flip half way through.
Top with a little powdered sugar and enjoy!
